Know the laws of gravity and inertia and who was credited with their discovery  

 

What are galaxies, constellations, light years, and stars  

 

Know about the four areas of the sun and the phenomenon found on the sun surface  

 

Know the important components of the lunar surface  

 

Be able to identify the lunar phases  

 

Know perigee, apogee, perihelion, aphelion, lunar eclipse, & solar eclipse  

 

Know the Terrestrial & Jovian planets and the characteristics of each  

 

Know what makes each planet within our solar system unique  

 

Know the Oort cloud and what resides there as well as the Asteroid belt  

 

Know the composition of ocean water including the type of sea salts and where sea salts originate  

 

Know the ocean’s topography  

 

Know ocean movements & depositional and erosional landforms  

 

Know the evolution of coral reef landforms  

 

How does man try to control movement along the beach
